So, last week, my family and I came back to our kampong (village-- for some reason I prefer using 'kampong' than village) in Kota Bahru (KB), Kelantan for a few days. Basically we went for food hunting and also visiting our relatives.
I brought along my dslr hoping that I would take some photos.. but I still didn't bother myself using it that much! ahah! lazy.
In this trip, it was my first time driving there. I drove at least 3-4 hours over almost 9 hour of journey. It was a pretty good experience! The road was different from the road that I usually drove on/took.
We stayed a night at my aunt's house in Machang before we headed to KB the next morning. And the next morning, I was greeted by my cousin's daughter, Aisy, that I haven't seen for a year. She's grown than ever. :')
Aisy asked me to play with her. When I was there, she never ceased to greet me in the morning and asked me to play with her.

Then, we went to my aunt's house near Kampung Sabak.
(I am actually an orang kampong, but very deeeeeep inside of me)

When we are in Kelantan, we never forget to eat the very delicious mee kuah, mee kg pek!! God. NOW I NEED SOME OF THIS.

Aisy actually waited for me for the rest of the day to play with me... and I had to layan her despite it was quite late already. I can't wait to become a mother myself! haha! :p
(my passion-for-teaching shone, obviously! duh!:p) |
OH. AND this is a must visit place when in KB.
Pasar Besar Siti Khadijah -- colourful! |

In the evening, we strolled to the famous beach in KB. It is called Pantai Cahaya Bulan (PCB).
(me as a mother) (just saying cos i'm fabulous like that) (just kidding) |
Alongside the beach, there are a lot of food stalls that sell this kind of food/drink:
And, why. never say no. can't get this kind of enjoyment in Kuala-la-la Lumpur!

The morning we departed back home, we revisited the Pasar to get some stuff.

I had a really good time in kampong and honestly I love my kampong! I can't speak Kelantanese well but understanding it wouldn't be a problem. I love the friendly people and my friendly relatives here.
This is the kampong that I'll always miss.
