first week of fifty two

I have been intending to start my 52 week project for so long, like really long time ago. But I have become so uninspired and was busy with school work. Yesterday, I managed to choose a picture from hundreds of photos taken from my friend, Ika's engagement day to be the first week of this project.

I'm totally honored and humbled that someone appreciates my work and wants me to take her pictures on her special day. It was my first time ever taking pictures for someone's engagement day. I'm truly blessed for what I have now (and what I don't have) for each of it reminds me to be a thankful person.

I have so many more to tell and show from the day. Ika's engagement day was good. The food was delicious (love the sambal tempe dish - a Javanese traditional food). I have to find some time to process the photos and upload it here. But for now, these are 0.1% of the pictures shot on the day. My first week of 52 started with good thing & happiness, and I am so blessed for that! :)

college life

Never in a million years I thought my life would be much busier than when I was in high school. I was quite a lazy high schooler who didn't mind going late to school and who didn't complete her homework at time, but I didn't like to skip school. Now college work have taken so much of my joy and leisure time that it makes me so stressed out.

Well, any form of arts is a therapy for me. Drawing, playing a musical instrument or sing, photography and reading books can make me so much better. At times when I am occupied with tons of work, I will always find myself doing one of these. I am beyond far from good at any of it, but, I enjoy sinking myself in my own world rather than spreading negativity on social medias. I used to do it, but now, I try my best to avoid myself from showing rage or emotional and I always watch out what I let people read & see.

I've missed taking film photographs, but being a college student, I've to watch out what I spend. It's expensive but the photos are so much worthy than they cost.
